Easy 3-D cell culture system

2-D cell culture system (monolayer attached cell culture) has failed to study many critical bioprocesses. For example, in a 2-D cell culture, the MT1-MMP gene was not necessary, but it becomes a critical metabolic scissors once cells are inside 3-D environment. This finding may fill a gap between conventional 2-D cell biology and 3-D tissue function.

In Biokeystone 3-D cell culture system, cells suspended in matrix, such as collagen or matrigel, can be easily visualized by phase contrast or fluorescent light microscopy. After culture, cells can be directly fixed and stained within the matrix and treated with antibodies for visualization of specific intra and extra-cellular proteins. In addition, cells suspended in our Easy 3-D system can also be treated with various reagents for extensive screening of biological responses to growth factors or chemical agents. Furthermore, cells might be removed for further studies.
